In the US and other parts of the world – they celebrate today as Valentine’s Day. Evan handed out Veggie Tales Valentines to his friends at Ms. Lynn’s house. And we together made two handmade Vday cards for Ms. Lynn and for Daddy. It’s really cute and I got the idea from a family-friendly website called: www.Familyfun.com.
I started my day off – busy! I went to the doctor’s b/c my throat has been hurting since Sunday. Cy just went to the docs yesterday and was diagnosed with a very bad sinus infection, along with pink eye. So, he’s taking antibiotics and eye drops and also musinex to help clear up his congestion. With that said, I thought I should go to the doctor’s to get checked out and make sure that I don’t have strep throat. I was there exactly at 7 am – just a walk-in, no appointment. After an hour and a half, and a strep test – I found out I don’t have strep and I just have a sore throat. GO FIGURE! So, I left the docs, drove home, got Evan dressed (he was at home with sick daddy Cy), took off to drove Evan off at Ms. Lynn’s house and got to work at 9:15 am. Then I left work at 11:30, drove on my side of town to Panera’s bakery to pick up some soup to take to Cy. It was a surprise to him. When I got home, he seemed a little better, and even happier knowing that I left work to bring him lunch. That’s my valentine’s lunch to him. Ate lunch with him, got back in the car – now I’m back at work. I was only gone for an hour. That’s pretty good timing considering that I work downtown Columbia, and live 20 mins. away.
So, now its 1:30 and I’m just now calming down from my morning. Whew….have I been busy!
Though it’s a day of recognition of love for someone you love, admire, etc… -- you shouldn’t wait till this day comes. You should celebrate love everyday!! Show your love and your appreciation for the one that you love EVERY TIME!!
